Kayanmata: the prevalent sex aphrodisiacs and their side effect.

“Kayanmata” originated from the Northern tribes of Nigeria with the main ingridients being honey, tiger nuts, camel’s milk, millet, herbs and roots. There are different types of Kayan Mata namely Gindin Ayu, Zuman Mata, Obaa sima, tighten stone, Vagina candies, vagina sweetening, vagina salt and more. 

This act as sex or love enhancers for couples. The products have been trending on social media as the merchants openly advertise them and also post their clients’ testimonies on the efficacy. The business is thriving on social media and drawing more people. 

 It is literally interpreted as “women sauce” from Hausa language, Kayan Mata. II is a generic name for a range of aphrodisiacs. However, there are some for men and some for women.

According to observers, for the products efficacy, some critics insinuate that Kayan Mata products are love potions or charms used by women to keep husbands away from other women. 

But a seller, Ameriya Sadiatu at Roman Ridge , notes that Kayan Mata is an answer to ladies who request for something to impress and drive their man crazy in bed. She talks about some of the products and how it works for women.

A lady who spoke to us in anonymity shared how it worked on her after using the product. “ I used the sweetener, in the beginning it was working and the guy was feeling but for sometime mu body could not work natural again. Anytime I had to have sex I needed to use the sweetener so I visited the gynecologist and he recommended some natural fruits and food I should be eating”. 

A gentleman who also had an encounter with a lady also shared his experience, he explains that the Vagina becomes loose again after one or two rounds because the tightness there is not natural. 

A midwife who works in the gynecologist sector at The Bank Hospital in Accra, Cantonments explains the possible side effects of the prolong use of the Kayanmata products and put forward the right process one should go through if they want to use such products.
